Public Treasury Exhibition 2011 |
In June this year I received an email and then a phone call from Keisha Oliver at The Public Treasury Department of The Bahamas. I, along with 16 other extremely talented female artists had been invited to submit 2 pieces of work to exhibit in an exhibition titled "Bahama Mama".
The Public Treasury Department of The Bahamas along with a private sponsor will launch the Public Treasury Art Program (PTAP) this September. PTAP is an initiative which aims to recognize and encourage young Bahamian artists, to showcase outstanding local and regional art and to engender appreciation and commitment to the arts and art education in The Bahamas.
I am honored and super excited to be showing my fine art photography to a wider audience. This will be my second time exhibiting my fine art photography, the first was in July 2010 at Popop studios in Nassau and I showed 3 nudes.
I will be flying over to Nassau for the private opening on the 23rd Sept 2011. Layla will be staying at home with daddy but I'm sure they'll both be wishing me well.

Hi Lyndah, thanks for featuring us on your blog.
ReplyDeletePTAP is doing amazing things for young artists in The Bahamas. It's the least I could do.
